Midland University dropped two games on Friday. In game one, the Warriors fell, 5-1, to No. 10 Oklahoma Baptist and in game two the St. Gregory's University came out on top with a final score of 2-1.

"Today was a disappointing day for our team," said Jordan Bischel,Midland University baseball head coach. "Oklahoma Baptist and St. Greg's are excellent programs and we had great opportunities in both games. We need to learn from the experience to position ourselves to win these games in the future."

In game one, Sean Urzendowski and Miguel Ramallo recorded Midland's two hits of the game. In the fourth inning Urzendowski's RBI cut the Warrior deficit to 2-1 but the remaining innings belonged to their opponent as Tyler Brungardt took the loss for Midland.

In game two, the Warriors took a 1-0 lead in the third inning after Ian Nick scored from third base off a Vinni Orsi single. However, St. Greg stole the game scoring a run in both the sixth and eighth innings. Orsi led the Warriors going 2-4 at the plate one RBI while Nate Bence and Ian Nick went 1-2 at bat and recorded one hit each. Zach Duncan pitched seven innings allowing six hits and one run, and recorded three strike outs. In eighth inning relief, Dylan Stockton gave up one run and one hit and recorded one strike out.

With the losses the Warriors move to 6-4 on the season. Midland University will face McPherson College on Saturday, Mar. 3 at 11:00 a.m. followed by (RV) York College at 3:00 p.m.
