The Midland University men's soccer team battle back from a 1-0 deficit to score two goals in the final seven minutes of play to defeat Morningside College 2-1. The Warriors gave up an early Morningside goal in the 16th minute of the game to trail before Tyree Kinning scored in the 83rd minute to tie the game at 1-1. Jason Wong had the assist. Then in the 85th minute of the game, Alan Craig found Andy Jones for the game winning goal to up the Warriors' record to 4-3-1.
"It was a big and important win for the program," said Sean Fraser, Midland University men's soccer coach. "I am delighted with our perseverance but more so our character. This was a great way to start GPAC play."
The Warriors will face off with Nebraska Wesleyan at home on Wednesday, Sept. 28. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
