Midland University lost to conference opponent Briar Cliff University 1-0 on Saturday. Briar Cliff's game winner came in the 78th minute. The Warriors were unable to convert on any of their nine shots.

"We played well in almost every area," said Sean Fraser, Midland University men's soccer interim head coach. " We just weren't able to execute our shots."

Lewis Wilcox allowed one goal with four saves in 90 minutes in goal.

The loss drops the Warriors to 2-1 in the GPAC and 5-4-1 overall. The next game for Midland University will be in Hastings,Neb., versus conference opponent No.1 Hastings College on Wednesday, Oct. 5. The game is set to start at 7:30 p.m.
