Midland Drops Road Contest at Top-Ranked Minot State
MINOT, N.D. — No. 18 Midland University traveled to Minot, North Dakota, to face No. 1 Minot State in a one-day matchup to wrap up the weekend. The Beavers handed the Warriors a 7-0 road loss.
Minot State struck first late in the opening period, scoring twice on the power play at the 16:08 and 18:49 marks to take a 2-0 lead.
The Beavers added another goal in the second period to extend the advantage to 3-0.
Minot State continued the pressure in the third period, scoring four additional goals to secure the 7-0 victory.
Midland (6-20-1) will travel to Ames, Iowa, to face Iowa State in a one-game trip Friday, Feb. 6. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
