Bio

Jason White was named the head women’s hockey coach heading into the 2017-18 season. Since that time, he has propelled the program to national recognition as one of the top teams in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). He has a wealth of hockey knowledge and experience as a former University of Nebraska-Omaha hockey player and has over a decade of coaching experience. He was an asset in the Fremont area hockey community for many years, having spent six years as the rink manager at Sidner Ice Arena, where he helped grow the game with youth development.

A native of Stittsville, Ontario, he attended the University of Nebraska-Omaha, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts & Science and played four seasons before spending two years on the Mavericks' coaching staff. His most extensive coaching experience before coming to Midland came with the Omaha AAA Hockey U18 Team, where he served as the program director and head coach from 2006-11.

During his time on the bench with the Warriors, he has continued to raise the bar for success. In his first season on the bench, he guided the Warriors to a 19-14-1 record, the most wins in program history at that time. He has since had five 20-plus win seasons, including a 30-2-2 record in 2023-24. He has coached the Warriors to a pair of conference tournament championships (2019 and 2023) and five ACHA National Tournament appearances.

Through eight seasons, Coach White has guided Midland to a 178-84-12 (.672) record. One of the best records in the ACHA during that time.

Outside of coaching for the Warriors, he and his spouse, Ashley, have two daughters, Emerson and Blake, who both play hockey for the Lady Lancers.
