Bio
Kayla Rojas was named the cheer team head coach in the summer of 2018 after spending three years on the squad and a year as a graduate assistant for the team.
Since taking over the position, the Warriors have won five Great Plains Conference championships, qualified for the NAIA nationals five times, and have placed top 10 at that event three times. Rojas also earned the GPAC coach of the year award in 2022.
She started her college career at Iowa Western CC before cheering at Midland from 2014-2018. During her time on the mat, she won three GPAC Championships, finished 6th Place at NAIA Nationals three times, finished 3rd at NCA College Cheer Nationals twice, and was a 2018 GPAC All- All-Conference Team Honorable Mention.
A native of Beatrice, Nebraska, Rojas graduated from Midland with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services in 2017 before also earning a Master's Degree in Adult and Organization Learning with a concentration in coaching and mentoring in 2020.
Outside of coaching for the Warriors, Kayla was able to meet her husband at Midland, and she now loves being a mom to their two children, Wrenley and Ridge.
