Warriors Claim Top Spot at Bobcat 300
BEATRICE, Neb. – Midland University claimed the High Overall (HOA) title at the 2025 SCC Bobcat Invitational, hosted by Southeast Community College over the weekend.
After competing in trap, skeet, and sporting clays, the Warriors totaled 1,409 targets to finish first. Concordia University was second with 1,382, followed by Wichita State University with 1,357.
Midland took first in team sporting clays with a score of 430, seven targets ahead of Concordia. The Warriors also won team skeet with a 488, four targets better than the Bulldogs. In team trap, Midland dominated with a score of 491, finishing 15 targets ahead of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
In the individual HOA standings, Midland's Devin Huguenot and Ben Swanson tied for second with scores of 281. Jake Ruehl placed fourth at 280, followed by Jayce Namuth in fifth at 277. Audric Scheidel and Chase Carrere tied for sixth at 276, while Atley Painter tied for 10th with a 274.
In the women's HOA competition, Alex Klocek finished third with a 267. Kimber Beevers was fourth at 263, and Sarah Sjoberg placed fifth at 260. Other top-10 finishes included Lacey Gangwish in seventh (257), Whitney Wiseman in eighth (256), and Makayla Blashill in 10th (249).
Midland's season will pause for the remainder of 2025 and resume Feb. 21-22 at the OSU Cowboy Shootout in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
