Bio

Erin Sibbald was hired as the director of dance and the dance team head coach during the summer of 2022. Before taking the leadership role in the Midland program, she spent two years coaching at Iowa Western Community College (2016-2018) and another two seasons as an assistant at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Since taking over as the head coach in 2022, the Warriors have won two GPAC Championships (2024 & 2025) and an NAIA National Championship (2025). Sibbald herself has gained accolades for her leadership, earning the 2025 GPAC Dance Coach of the Year award and two NAIA National Dance Coach of the Year awards (2024 & 2025). 

A native of Harlan, Iowa, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Performance and Exercise Science at Midland (‘15) and was on the dance team for all four years. During this time, she was a part of teams that won several NDA National Competitions. She was on the 2013 NDA NAIA Team Routine National Champions and the 2015 NDA DIII Hip Hop National Champions. She was named the MVP in 2015.

Outside of coaching the Warriors, Erin is an instructor at Elevate cycling and fitness. As a family, she and her husband, Tom, take care of their daughter Lucy and are expecting another daughter in November.
