Caleb Viers returned to the Midland University men’s basketball program as an assistant coach prior to the 2026-27 season after previously serving as a graduate assistant for the Warriors from 2022-24.

Viers spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa, helping with player development, scouting, recruiting, and day-to-day operations of the program. Before joining Iowa Central, he gained coaching experience during his final season at Central College, serving as a student coach for the Dutch.

A native of Lone Tree, Iowa, Viers played two seasons for the Central College men’s basketball team while earning his bachelor’s degree in exercise science in 2022. During his time at Midland as a graduate assistant, he earned a master’s degree in sports administration and leadership.
