Warriors Post Top-20 Finish at Hoosier Classic

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Midland University competed this past weekend, traveling to Indianapolis to participate in the 57th Annual Columbia 300 Hoosier Classic. With a total pinfall of 5,132 in five team games and 2,618 in 15 Baker games, the Warriors finished 17th out of 78 teams with an overall total of 7,750.

Individually, six Warriors bowled at least one frame, with Nolan Pepper leading the way by finishing 28th out of 536 competitors. Highlighted by an opening game of 278, he recorded two of his final four games over 220 and finished with an average of 217.6 and a total pinfall of 1,088.

Kaeden White was Midland's next-highest finisher, placing 67th with an average of 209.2 over five games and a total pinfall of 1,046. White bowled three games over 215, including a high of 247 in his third game.

Cole Macaluso followed in 74th place after bowling two games above 220. He totaled 1,037 pins for an average of 207.4. Jack Pearson eclipsed 200 twice in his five games and finished with an average of 195.4 and a total pinfall of 977.

Rounding out the Warriors were Zachary Wentzel, who finished 248th after bowling four games for a total pinfall of 799 and an average of 199.8, and Cephus Beatty, who bowled one game and scored a 185.

Midland returns to action Feb. 21 at the KCAC Championships in Topeka, Kansas.
