Thomas Earns All-Conference Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its 2026 Heart Men's Lacrosse Postseason Award winners and All-Conference teams this week. Each of the award winners and all-conference selections was chosen by the Heart head coaches. Midland University's Asher Thomas was named to the All-Conference Second Team as a Long Stick Midfielder.

Thomas, a senior from Denver, Colorado, earned all-conference recognition after serving as a key contributor to the Warriors' defensive unit throughout the 2026 season. He was named the Heart and NAIA Defensive Player of the Year the first week of April after a record-setting performance against Ottawa. He had 18 ground balls and caused five turnovers while adding a goal.

Benedictine's CJ Besuzzi was named Co-Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year, while William Penn's Kenny Bohney earned Co-Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year honors. Other conference award winners included Carter Gras of St. Ambrose (Newcomer of the Year), John Paul Torgersen of Benedictine (Freshman of the Year), Mark Crisco of Benedictine (Coach of the Year), and Keaton Carney of Benedictine (Assistant Coach of the Year).
