Bio

Christian Sanchez has been an assistant coach for the Midland soccer team since 2023 as a graduate assistant before converting to a full-time assistant before the 2025-26 season. 

During his graduate assistantship, he served as the Head Coach for the Reserve Team, leading them to the finals of the reserve tournament two years in a row and securing the Warriors' first championship win in 2024. He has also served four years as an assistant coach at Fremont High School.  

A native of Vigo, Spain, Sanchez played as a center and right back for Iowa Lakes CC and graduated with an associate's degree before coming to Midland in 2018. As a Warrior, he served as vice captain in the 2020 season and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Human Performance with minors in Nutrition and Coaching in 2021. Upon finishing his graduate assistantship in 2025, he earned a Master's in Sports Administration and Leadership while also getting certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. 

Outside of Midland, Christian was also an Indoor soccer pro player at Omaha Kings FC from 2021–2023 and is married to his wife, Hannah Williams.
