Warriors Roll Past Morningside in Home Dual
FREMONT, Neb. — Midland University was back in action on Saturday as it hosted Morningside University in a dual inside the Dillon Family Aquatic Center. The Warriors distanced themselves from the Mustangs in the pool and on the scoreboard as they won 133-69.
Nacho Molina was the top performer, earning two individual first-place finishes before helping the Warriors to second and third-place results in the relay races. He won the 50-yard freestyle (21.68) and the 100-yard freestyle (47.61). Molina swam a 47.58 split in the 400-yard freestyle relay to help secure third, and he recorded a 46.43 split in the 400-yard medley relay to help earn second.
Konrad Kozlowski followed with a first-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle (4:56.84) and a second-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly (2:02.96). Artur Arent also earned a first and a second, winning the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:02.04) and placing second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:04.99).
Individually, Reece Gray picked up two top-three finishes. He won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:02.29 and placed third in the 200-yard backstroke in 1:59.27. Martin Sener, Jonathan Tammam, and Gonzo Rojas each earned an individual win: Sener took the 200-yard backstroke (1:53.36), Tammam won the 200-yard freestyle (1:44.69), and Rojas won the 200-yard butterfly (1:59.35).
Wyatt Aumiller, Noah Doane, Oliver Kock, and Gael Conde rounded out Midland's top-three finishers. Aumiller placed second in both the 50-yard freestyle (22.04) and 100-yard freestyle (48.79). Doane earned runner-up finishes in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:15.98) and 200-yard individual medley (2:03.94). Kock finished third in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:16.48), while Conde placed third in the 200-yard butterfly (2:05.80).
In the relays, Midland took first and second in the 400-yard medley relay before earning second and third in the 400-yard freestyle relay. Sener, Tomas Ruzicka, Tich Makaya, and Aumiller won the medley relay in 3:33.68, while Gray, Doane, Rojas, and Molina took second just over a second behind.
Sener, Ruzicka, Tammam, and Aumiller placed second in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:13.72), while Molina, Makaya, Jasper Mpofu, and Gray finished third.
The Warriors will remain at home and return to the pool Dec. 4–6 when they host the Warrior Invite at the Dillon Family Aquatic Center.
