GPAC Announces Indoor All-Conference Teams

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) announced its 2026 Indoor Track and Field All-Conference Teams following last weekend's GPAC Championships. The team consists of the top eight individual finishers and members of the top three relay teams. Midland University had seven athletes earn All-GPAC honors — three men and four women.

Jonathan Edberg, Jameson Painter, and Koen Steenblok were named to the All-GPAC Men's Team. Edberg, a freshman from Stockholm, Sweden, placed seventh in the high jump. Painter, a sophomore from Springview, Nebraska, finished seventh in the 200 meters. Steenblok, a sophomore from Heinkenszand, Netherlands, captured the conference title in the 800 meters.

Sara Diew, Meike Lahuis, Tanja Zubrod, and Krista Hardy earned spots on the All-GPAC Women's Team. Diew, a senior from South Sioux City, Nebraska, placed third in the weight throw. Lahuis, a freshman from Henglo, Netherlands, finished sixth in the high jump, while Zubrod, a freshman from Speyer, Germany, placed fourth in the 400 meters. Hardy, a senior from Plattsmouth, Nebraska, won the conference title in the high jump.
