Steenblok Earns All-American Honors as Midland Concludes Indoor Season at NAIA Championships

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Midland University concluded its indoor season at the NAIA Championships in Gainesville on Saturday. The meet, held at the Alachua County Sports and Events Center, featured more than 100 teams from across the country.

Koen Steenblok, after finishing eighth in the 800-meter preliminaries, earned All-American honors with a fourth-place finish in the 800-meter finals, posting a time of 1:51.42. His performance broke his previous Midland school record.

In the 4,000-meter distance medley preliminaries, the team of Steenblok, Raheem Richards, Braden Taylor, Lucas Hjortkjaer, Chris Medlock and Christian Olsen finished 16th with a time of 10:18.01.

In the 1,000-meter race, Lucas Hjortkjaer finished 16th with a time of 2:28.15.
