Edberg Earns GPAC Weekly Award

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), along with presenting sponsor Hauff Mid-America Sports, has announced its men's indoor track & field athletes of the week for events held March 16-22, 2026. Midland University's Jonathan Edberg was named the GPAC Field Athlete of the Week while Jonny Jurchen of Concordia University earned track honors.

Edberg, a freshman from Stockholm, Sweden, won the high jump and placed fourth in the triple jump in his first collegiate outdoor meet. He cleared 1.91m in the high jump and reached 12.68m in the triple jump at the Central Methodist Open.
