Doyle Trout took over the Midland men’s program in 2023-2024 after spending the past three seasons coaching at the University of the Ozarks.

Trout, a former prep standout from Centennial High School out of Waco, Nebraska, was a four-time state champion at 120 pounds. He was the 25th wrestler to win four Nebraska state titles, was named a FloNationals All-American during his senior season, and won the 2015 Dave Schultz Excellence Award, an award given to the best senior wrestler in each state.

After graduating, he attended the University of Wyoming, where he earned his degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion while recording 21 wins on the mat for the Cowboys.

Outside of coaching, Doyle likes to spend time with friends and family, including Chelsea Dionisio and their daughter Ramsie.
