Warriors Announce 2026 Cross Country Schedule
FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University has officially announced its 2026 cross country schedule, featuring a handful of meets leading up to the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Championships and the NAIA Cross Country National Championships.
The Warriors will open the season under the lights on Sept. 4 at the Augustana Twilight in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Midland will continue its early-season schedule on Sept. 19 at the Greeno/Dirksen Invitational in Lincoln, Nebraska.
October begins with the Seminole Valley Stampede on Oct. 3 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Warriors will return to action the following weekend at the Holiday Inn Express Classic on Oct. 10 in Sioux Center, Iowa, before concluding the regular season at the Blazing Tiger Invitational on Oct. 24 in Ashland, Nebraska.
"We're looking forward to seeing how our women's team continues to build off a strong track season, during which many of them recorded several personal records," head coach Daniel Gerber said. "Their experience should bode well for a fun fall.
"On the men's side, it will be fun to see which guys step up. It will be a much younger team than we've had, but we have several talented athletes who will perform well."
Postseason competition begins Nov. 7 with the GPAC Championships in Sioux Center, Iowa.
Qualifying individuals and teams will advance to the 2026 NAIA Cross Country National Championships, scheduled for Nov. 20 in Vancouver, Washington.
