Warriors Open Season at Mid-States Championship

WICHITA, Kan. – Midland University began its season this past weekend, competing in the Mid-States Championships. The Warriors finished 19th out of 24 teams with a total pinfall of 6,996.

Individually, Bailee Spriggs led the Warriors, placing 32nd out of 180 bowlers. She bowled two games over 190 and finished with a total pinfall of 1,074 for a six-game average of 179. Kayleigh McKenzie followed, bowling three games of 180 or higher and earning a total pinfall of 1,039 for a 173.17 average, placing 43rd.

Kaylee Taylor and Hannah Bowling finished 57th and 65th, respectively. Taylor recorded a pinfall of 1,006 for an average of 167.67, while Bowling finished with a pinfall of 973 and an average of 162.17. Rounding out the lineup was Kacie Moore, who placed 141st with a six-game pinfall of 542 for an average of 90.33.

Midland will continue its season at the Donna Hogan and Mike Munstermann Memorial Tournament on Nov. 1-2 in Hastings, Nebraska.
