Warriors Edged by Morningside in Head to Head Meet

FREMONT, Neb. — Midland University returned to the Dillon Family Aquatic Center on Saturday for a dual against Morningside University. The Warriors came up just short in a tight battle, falling to the Mustangs, 71-70.

Individually, Aria Feit led Midland with two wins in the 500-yard and 1,000-yard freestyle. She finished the 1,000 in 11:41.03 and the 500 in 5:46.53. Brisa Mills earned a first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle and a second-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle. She won the 100 in 56.62 and finished just 0.03 seconds behind the winner in the 50 with a time of 25.82.

Emma Rosenstrom also recorded a pair of top-two finishes, winning the 200-yard freestyle (2:15.71) and placing second in the 500-yard freestyle (6:07.81). Logan Bautista rounded out Midland's individual top-three finishes, placing second in the 200-yard backstroke (2:30.80) and third in the 500-yard freestyle (6:10.04).

Midland also competed in two relay events, winning the 400-yard medley relay and finishing second in the 400-yard freestyle relay. Mills, Quinty Rouschop, Rosenstrom, and Feit won the medley relay in 4:22.91. Feit, Mills, Rosenstrom, and Bautista swam the 400-yard freestyle relay in 4:04.79.

The Warriors will be back in the pool Dec. 4-6 when they host the Warrior Invite at the Dillon Family Aquatic Center in Fremont, Nebraska.
