Warriors Host Midseason Invitational

FREMONT, Neb. — Midland University hosted its biggest regular-season competition of the year this past week, welcoming four teams to the Dillon Family Aquatic Center for the three-day Warrior Invitational held Thursday through Saturday. Nebraska–Kearney, the College of Saint Mary, and Iowa Western Community College finished first, second, and third, respectively, while Midland placed fourth ahead of Iowa Lakes Community College.

Individually, Quinty Rouschop earned two first-place finishes, winning both the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke with times of 1:08.70 and 2:32.99.

Aria Feit posted two fourth-place finishes in the 200- and 500-yard freestyle events before reaching the podium in the 1,650-yard freestyle, taking third with a time of 19:27.13.

Brisa Mills tallied three fourth-place finishes in preliminaries before finishing eighth in the 50-yard freestyle, fifth in the 100-yard freestyle, and fifth in the 100-yard backstroke finals.

The Warriors competed in four of the five relays, with their top performance coming in the 200-yard medley relay, where they placed fourth with a time of 1:58.54. In that race, Mills opened with the backstroke, followed by Rouschop in the breaststroke. Emma Rosenstrom swam the butterfly leg, and Feit anchored with the freestyle.

Midland will take a break from competition for the holidays before returning to the pool on Jan. 24 to host a dual against familiar foe Iowa Western at the Dillon Family Aquatic Center.
