Avila Wins GPAC Wrestler of the Week Honor

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), along with presenting sponsor Hauff Mid-America Sports, has announced its women's wrestler of the week for contests played February 9-15, 2026. Midland University's Maci Avila was named the GPAC Women's Wrestler of the Week.

Avila, a senior from Henderson, Nevada, went 4-0 in dual action this week within league action. All of her matches went less than 1:11, including a 10-second pin to cap off the perfect week. Entering the week, she was ranked No. 12 at 138 pounds.
