NAIA Women’s Wrestling Championships Preview
WICHITA, Kan. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) will host the 2026 Women's Wrestling National Championships this weekend in Wichita, Kansas. Midland University will have three athletes competing at the two-day event held inside Heartland Credit Union Arena on March 13-14.
Taylor Hood, Maci Avila, and Ja'Nya Banks will each be making their first appearance at the national tournament. Hood will compete at 117 pounds while Banks will compete at 160. Avila will be the sixth-seeded wrestler at 138.
Preliminary brackets were determined by a 10-member committee consisting of conference raters and oversight members from each of the five sponsoring conferences. A total of 210 wrestlers are placed within the 10 weight classes.
