Yu Earns All-GPAC Selection, Two Others Honored

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) released its Men's Tennis All-Conference honors last week. Midland University had an athlete named to the All-GPAC Singles Team, while two others were named honorable mentions.

Freshman Zhanxing Yu was named to the All-GPAC Singles Team after a strong debut season for the Warriors. The Wenzhou, China native earned recognition at No. 2 singles.

Unai Llerena, a junior from Zamora, Spain, earned honorable mention at singles. In doubles play, the tandem of Martin Cisneros, a junior from Medellin, Colombia, and Yu received honorable mention recognition.

The GPAC Player of the Year honor went to Marcos Menendez of Morningside, while Morningside head coach Alex Struck was named the GPAC Coach of the Year. For a complete look at the 2026 GPAC Men's All-Conference honorees, click here.
