Warriors Drop Neutral-Site Match to St. Thomas

ORLANDO, Fla. – Midland University dropped a 7-0 non-conference decision to St. Thomas University on Thursday afternoon.

The Bobcats claimed the doubles point with wins on all three courts. Midland's top tandem of Ai Katsura and Ana Larreal put up the strongest resistance, falling 7-5 at No. 1 doubles, while St. Thomas secured 6-0 and 6-1 victories at Nos. 2 and 3.

In singles play, St. Thomas controlled the match by winning in straight sets on all six courts. Graziela Dallagnol battled at No. 1 singles before dropping a 6-3, 6-1 decision to Caterina Antonini. Katsura also competed at the top of the lineup, falling 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2. The Bobcats closed out the sweep with straight-set wins at Nos. 3 through 6.

Midland will conclude its Florida trip with a match against Connecticut College on Friday. Their game with Southeastern on Thursday afternoon was cancelled due to the weather.
